The podcast “A Drink to the Past” recently reached out to us, asking to do an interview, or maybe a session of actual play. We said, “why not both?” And now, that episode of their podcast is out – you can check it out here!

Anyway, that’s how I (Elemental Knight) ended up on the air. It was a pretty fun experience! I talk about the system’s origins and design process, and then we get down to brass tacks and actually play some.

We didn’t end up finishing the adventure I had planned, but that’s okay. We got pretty far, and I think we managed to introduce a lot of what Reclaim the Wild has to offer! And hey, maybe we’ll finish it up on some future episode.

This is a big one! A day and a half ago, Kotaku – one of the biggest gaming news sites out there – ran a short article about us! You can check that article out here.

Needless to say, the response has been mind-blowing and heart-warming. People have been sharing Kotaku’s Facebook and Twitter posts with their friends, and it’s even spawned a few subsequent Reddit posts. And dozens of people have flooded our Discord channel, asking questions and organizing their own games.

Just to give a sense of how big a boost this is, here’s a quick look at the website’s stats.

In short, we’ve already seen something like 8 times as many more visitors this month, than in any other previous month. And we’re not even a full week into June yet!

While I’m at it, I want to give a shout-out to the newly-minted mods of our Discord server: frigidScholar, Nintaku, Mei, and Unknown Quantity. They’ve been a huge help in keeping things organized, answers newcomers’ questions, and being a positive, welcoming force in our community. Couldn’t have survived this without y’all!

While I was digging around in the website’s statistics, I discovered that there was another short article written about us – in Portugese! You can check it out here.

Much like the last article about us, this one praises the book’s professional-looking design and core gameplay systems – at least, near as I can tell through Google Translate.

So here’s a fun thing – we got a mention on a website! There’s a short article about Reclaim the Wild over on GeekNative.com, by their founder. While it’s not an in-depth review or anything, it is pretty positive.
