Version 1.02
I’ve gotten lots of feedback, and that’s resulted in a lot of minor tweaks, fixes, and changes to Reclaim the Wild.
One big change I’m looking to do, is to alter how monsters are made. However, that’s going to be a bit of a bigger change – and I didn’t want all the other improvements to have to wait on that.
Check out below for the full changelog!
Reclaim the Wild (Core Rulebook)
- Fixed various minor typos, formatting issues, and grammatical issues.
- Fixed an error where To-Hit rolls were described as only succeeding if they beat the target’s Evasion. In fact, To-Hit rolls succeed if they meet or beat the target’s Evasion.
- Specified that the Song of Blooming only helps harvest additional Food Ingredients (and not other plant-like things, like Cloth).
- Fixed an error where Goron Spice was described as salty, rather than sweet. The management deeply regrets this error.
- Added a note in the “Weapon Durability” section to mention that weapons, generally, cannot be repaired.
- Mini-Shots from the Multi-Shot Enchantment may now target the same Swarm, even if the original attack also targeted that Swarm.
- Added a new rule for Critical Hits against Swarms: a Critical Hit doubles the ‘number of squares hit’ against a Swarm. (So a Strike’s Critical Hit deals 2 damage to a Swarm, but a Line 2’s Critical Hit deals 4 damage.)
- Magical Voice now makes your Musical Power equal to your Perform Trait. This removes some weirdness with how Musical Power could be calculated at odd Perform Trait Ranks.
- Clarified that you start with Mundane Tools, not Magical Tools.
- Added a page explaining what Rupees are.
- Reduced the Magic cost of Twili Transit to 4 Magic, down from 8 Magic.
- Significantly adjusted how Magnesis calculates the weight of what you can move with it, bringing it into line with how one moves things with Athletics. This also resulted in some rewording of the spell’s text.
- Fixed an issue where Cinnamon was listed as both Rank 2 and Rank 3. It’s supposed to be Rank 3.
- Added the Jury-Rig Genius and Wingman Feats.
- The Interceptor Feat now adds (Fortitude / 2) to your roll to intercept an attack.
- Techniques and Spells no longer use ammunition from ranged weapons (since using those weapons grants you no additional benefit to the spell.)
- Song of Communication now requires Perform 3, not Perform 4, to Compose.
- The Song of Return is now a Major Song.
- Added a note about learning songs via Character Creation to the “Learning Songs” section, and to the “Purchasing Feats, Songs, Spells, and Techniques” section. You may now purchase Songs at character creation, with GM permission – Minor Songs cost 3 Tokens, while Major Songs cost 6.
- Also noted that, for quest reward purposes, Minor Songs are valued at 3 Tokens, and Major Songs at 6 Tokens.
- Added a note to the “Spending Stamina and Magic” section, preventing Spell and Technique costs from being reduced below 1.
- Significantly lowered the Stamina cost of Fastball Special (from 12 to 6), and made the ‘deal damage to the thrown creature’ optional, rather than required.
- Noted Combo’s Range as Melee, which makes more sense since it requires you to use Strike Basic Attacks.
- Blue Fairy Friends now also provide a bonus to Combat Maneuvers that use Accuracy or Perception. This ensures that all Combat Maneuvers have at least one Fairy Friend color that boost them.
Ravage the Wild (Bestiary)
- Added new monsters:
- Keaton
- Snurgle
- Modified monsters:
- Pappetto
- Wolfos
Rebuild the Wild (Supplement)
- Noted that Wagons can carry creatures or items.
- Amenities now have the same HP and Defense as a single square of Building-wall. This just simplifies things!
