Version 1.01

So of course, as soon as 1.00 was out the door, I started finding little things to update or fix. Some people don’t think it be like it is, but it do.

A lot of this update is simply clarifying existing rules, resolving edge cases… and adding Castles. So now you can build those – if you’ve got the treasury for it.

Below, you’ll find the changelog – what’s different between this version, and the previous release (good ol’ 1.00).

Reclaim the Wild (Core Rulebook)

  • Fixed a few errant typos and formatting issues.
  • Bombs will now explode if struck with another Bomb’s explosion.
  • Noted that Natural Weapons on monsters may be treated like the ‘Armed’ Talking Animal Racial Bonus, if the monster’s designer schooses.
  • Natural Weapons regain 2 Durability per Extended Rest now, just like Armed Talking Animals.
  • Guardian Arrows no longer require a secondary Accuracy check against a heavy foe; instead, they’re just auto-Critical Hits. This serves as a nicer drop-off from a Normal foe’s instant defeat, ta Miniboss shrugging it off.
  • Clarified that Zant’s Shadowbolts may target the same foe with each shot, per player’s choice. However, like Combo, you cannot move between shots.
  • The Combat Maneuvers Flirt, Predict, and Taunt have had their ranges expanded beyond Melee. (Predict is now Visual; Flirt and Taunt are now Auditory.)
  • The roll to notice an Elegy of Emptiness statue is a fake is now against (Musical Power x 2), up from just (Musical Power).
  • Added rules for equipping Companions with Natural Defense with armor, as well as enchanting a Companion’s Natural Weapons.
  • Added the following Major Magical Songs:
    • Melody of Darkness
    • Farewell to GIbdos
    • Goron Lullaby
    • Song of Healing
  • Clarified that, if you choose to not pick up a Feat, Song, Spell, or Technique when it’s offered (as a quest reward or the like), you can later go back and buy the thing at the ‘discount’ price – generally.
  • Bari’s Coat has been significantly improved, no longer ending its Electrified effect on first hit. It also enables you to make a Disarm attempt when it triggers, at the cost of ending the Bari’s Coat spell. Its Magic cost has been increased slightly, as well.

Ravage the Wild (Bestiary)

  • Added new monsters:
    • Pappetto

Rebuild the Wild (Supplement)

  • Clarified that the Food Ingredients that Farms provide their Owners may be of a Rank up to the Farm’s Rank, not that they absolutely must be equal to the Farm’s Rank.
  • Added a new feature: Castles! For a very large outlay of Materials, you can build (or purchase) a Castle to call your own. This comes complete with a noble Title, and ways to customize your Castle to suit your tastes – and provide bonuses above and beyond what you can achieve without it.
