Tingle Jingle
Major
One of the leotard clad Tingles; interchangeable servants of some foreign, insatiable entity of pure Greed, will arrive at your location upon completion of the song. They will appear emerging from some dark passage, over the ridge of the nearest hill, or even floating in on a balloon from a cloud if that’s the most convenient method, so long as nobody can see their initial locaton
This Tingle will have the same items available as one of the following Shops of a rank equal to (Musical Power/2) from one settlement the performer has visited before; Alchemist (Elixirs) , Bomb Shop (Bombs), Fletcher (Arrows), Hardware Shop (Mundane and Misc. Tools), and Restaurant (Dishes), with up to (Musical Power x 5) items in stock. Due to their singular desire to collection more Rupees they are treated as having a Discipline of 8, accepts payment only in Rupees, and will not buy anything from the party. Efforts to pickpocket, mug, or otherwise acquire the goods without payment will result in the Tingle disappearing in a pinwheel shower of green sparks and the inability to use this song again until the caster tosses Rupees equal to the value of stock into some body of water as a sacrifice to the entity of Greed to gain atonement for their crimes. This song works so long as there is a location within your line of sight a Tingle can appear from and could safely reach by some mundane means by one of the races available as player characters in your campaign and the use of mundane equipment. If this requires the Tingle to have an ability not possessed by Hylians (For example, breathing underwater) they will appear as a member of a suitable race, though clearly identifiable by their skintight leotard. If a Tingle could not reach the caster, then the Song fails.
Once a Tingle appears, his presence and purpose become blatantly obvious to anybody in the immediate area. Any creatures hostile to the characters will work to prevent the Tingle from selling to them, and any attack against them will result in the Tingle disappearing in the same green sparks as when they are robbed, Walls and other physical barriers will stop them just like any other creature. As Greed has a presence in all places, this song can be used in any world that exists in your campaign, though they can’t provide items from other worlds.
Note for GM's
Think of this Song as an alternative to traveling merchants for your characters. It would be most suited for games with expanded dungeon or wilderness crawls, were opportunities to restock are few and far between, or as a reward prior to a dungeon where the party may want access to consumable Effects whose ingredients aren't locally available. If you prefer, this Song's power could easily be provided via a Magical Tools based on the Tingle Tuner from the original Wind Waker.
